I’ve known Kelsey and Nick for 15 years, and I’ve captured the two of them and their growing family many times. When they asked me to take anniversary photos for them to celebrate 10 years together, I was overjoyed! These two are truly special to me, and we definitely made some magic out in the Gorge.
Read MoreFun fact: I photographed Molly and Trevor’s wedding seven years ago! We’ve remained friends on social media over the years, and I’ve watched their family grow. It was incredible to reconnect in person and capture their two little babes in their adorable SE Portland home.

Read MoreMichaela and Daniel hosted one of the most free spirited and laid back weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of. It took place at Tin Roof Barn, a rustic wedding venue on the Washington side of the Colombia River Gorge, in White Salmon. Every aspect of the day felt romantic and peaceful. Michaela spent most of the day running around barefoot through the nearby fields, both she and Daniel radiated joy, and all of their family and friends were so wonderfully happy.
There was an incredible team of vendors who made this day happen, as well. Bridal Bliss planned and coordinated the day, and they did a fabulous job as usual, and Natalie Parks did the chic floral design.
Read MoreJoelei and Sameer had the most picturesque wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes. They traveled from California and hosted a destination wedding for a huge group of friends and family. They blended family traditions, had the most insane florals, and their dance party was one of the most lively I’ve ever photographed. I’m super excited to share everything with you.
I’d also love to thank the incredible team of vendors who made this day possible… J29 Events, Classic Vintage Rentals, Bramble Floral, We Are Moving Pictures, Hunt and Gather Catering, Party Place PDX, Letters and Dust, Blue Star Donuts, La Tovala Linen and Papa Haydn.
Read MoreThis is a great example of what we can do with one extra hour on your wedding day. Chloe and Zach were married on a ranch about 20 minutes from Smith Rock State Park. After their ceremony we jetted over to capture some intimate shots of just the two of them. I’m so in love with how they turned out!
Read MoreOh man, where to even begin with these two. I’d previously shot their adorable in-home engagement session, and I pretty much fell in love with them while we bonded over champagne. I knew their Palm Springs inspired wedding at Plaza del Toro would be gorgeous, but it totally blew me away! Georgia’s boho dress and Brian’s hip, red suit perfectly represented their personalities. Then showing up to see an industrial restaurant venue transformed into a bohemian and classy event space was the icing on the cake. They had a small ceremony with family and close friends, and afterwards the rest of their guests arrived. There wasn’t a sit down dinner, and the whole reception felt like a hip cocktail hour turned dance party. These two did things their way, and I couldn’t have been more excited to capture it all.
Read MoreTo be honest, I shot Gwen & Ben’s Joshua Tree elopement a year and a half ago. It’s one of those photo sets that I’ve been meaning to blog, but I kept putting it on the back burner while I shot new work. It was fun to go back through their day and put this post together.
A little about Gwen & Ben… they actually had a handful of weddings all over the United States! Since they had family spread out across the country, they had this incredible idea to take their wedding to all of them. They traveled for weeks in a darling vintage airstream and stopped to have weddings and celebrations with all of their loved ones along the way. I shot their first one (that also should be blogged someday, but oh time!) and also this one, their last in Joshua Tree. I loved how this one was at the end of their journey, and it felt like the perfect, relaxing celebration before heading back to Portland.
Here’s Gwen & Ben.. being effortlessly cool. Enjoy.
Read MoreI met up with these two on a day when Portland was grey, dark and clouded in mist, but when we drove out to the gorge the clouds parted and the sun was far too bright for us to begin the shoot. We detoured to a local brewery and sipped beer while we waited for the sun to go down a bit. When we arrived to Government Cove the lighting was literally perfect. The mist still covered some of the mountains and also created a beautiful filter for the setting sun.
